FAQ’s & T’s & C’s

For those kindly wishing to purchase drawings and paintings, the following T’s & C’s apply. Please do read them prior to paying through paypal.

Drawings – these will be shipped in hard backed envelopes or tubes where necessary. Drawings are not framed or mounted.

Oil paintings – these will be shipped in hard back envelopes, when dry. On posting the images on my blog, the paintings will have been completed that day, and therefore are not yet dry. Please wait for two weeks from the blog post date before I can ship these works from the studio. Oil paintings are not framed or mounted. They are signed on the front and also labelled and signed on the back.

Shipping costs

Shipping to the United Kingdom is included in the price and is sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm the next working day from the date the painting is dry. I will inform buyers when the item is despatched.

Shipping anywhere other then United Kingdom – £20.00 via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed. This will take 5-7 working days. This amount will be charged to you via paypal prior to postage and the painting cannot be posted until this additional payment is made.

The type of frame I tend to use for this sort of painting (on canvas board) is a plain off white tray frame. Some people like their frame to be a slightly different colour. I tend to use a UK based company called Ashcraft Framing, where frames can be made up for you and then posted to you. The website is

and they offer all of my customers a code to apply at checkout to give you a small discount. The code is GI17.

The frame I use is ‘Tray Frame for canvas and boards’, and it comes painted in various shades of white or you can paint it your own colour yourself. For a 30cm x 30cm painting the cost is approximately £30.80 plus postage. If you copy and paste the below link it will take you to the correct page.

There are, however, other slightly more ornate frames on the website which I have been tempted by in the past which could also work, such as the 95mm wide panel frame or the Ives/Nicholson frames which would look nice. Like I say, framing is personal so I’m best not making that decision for you. If you do like something specific I would recommend finding a framers local to you to discuss your requirements in person.

Please note that if you choose to use the framer that I use, I cannot hold any responsibility for that transaction as it is between yourself and the framers.
